Distributed generation, by its very nature, can be placed anywhere on the grid. For integration of these assets, the grid needs to have enough capacity to allow for to take the power generated at its peak. NEx is implemented at a substation level and can therefore be placed in one or several substation locations around the generation asset providing targeted capacity gains to support rapid growth.
