Before joining Third Equation, Gareth was a Principal Engineer at Unipart Rail for nearly four years. During his tenure, he was crucial in enhancing the company’s engineering processes, focusing on traceability, defining requirements, and version control. His work in design and development, particularly from January 2019 to April 2020, was marked by significant advancements in engineering solutions, demonstrating his ability to lead complex projects with precision and innovation.
Gareth’s career includes key positions at notable companies such as Able Systems Ltd, ARM, and BAE Systems. At Able Systems, he honed his R&D skills, contributing to groundbreaking work in version control systems. His six-year stint at ARM as a Senior Software Engineer saw him specialize in cross-platform development, further solidifying his expertise in versatile software solutions. At BAE Systems, he was instrumental in maintaining and developing post-flight data analysis systems, showcasing his ability to manage intricate software engineering projects.
Gareth began his impressive career at Northrop Grumman – Park Air Systems, where he rose from a Software Engineer to a Senior Software Engineer. His early experiences laid the foundation for his proficiency in version control systems, a skill he has continuously developed and applied throughout his career. His diverse skill set, which encompasses defining requirements, CMake, and cross-platform development, is a testament to his adaptability and commitment to staying at the forefront of technological advancements.
